Petals Wedding Cake
Step-by-Step Cake Decorating Instructions
with Guest Chef Jane Dunwell

You will need the following to create a Petals Wedding Cake:

  • Your choice of cakes (2-tier shown) covered with marzipan or rolled fondant placed on cake boards and stacked using a cake stand for additional support. Placed onto a larger than normal cake board.
  • Number 1 and 2 icing tubes (pastry tips)
  • Grease-proof paper icing bags
  • Ivory colored Royal icing
  • At least three different sizes of petal cutters
  • Ivory colored gum paste or
    sugarpaste with added gum tragacanth
  • Burgundy colored gum paste or
    sugarpaste with added gum tragacanth
  • A bone or ball modelling tool
  • Rolling pin
