Wedding Cake Assembly
The Single Plate Separator cake stand is a uniquely designed plate
system which affixes to 4 columns to separate cake layers. The plate
system assures ease, accuracy in centering and supporting cake tiers. |
Tiered Wedding Cake
1. The Single Plate Separator plates have center nibs which are used to center cake
boards. This allows easy removal and replacement of cakes onto the plates. Mark
each cake board by marking a hole in the center with the sharp nib. Do this for cake
boards on each tier. |
|
2. Stacked cakes use same size board as cake.
Tiered cakes use board 1 inch larger. |
|
3. Mark each layer by lightly pressing a plate
without columns onto the iced cake surface.
Lift plate up off cake. |
|
4. Assemble bottom of column by interlocking
two smooth column pieces. |
|
5. Insert assembled smooth pieces into ribbed piece forming a 9 inch column. |
|
6. With an assembled column, create holes in cake
by piercing cake with smooth end of column, using a
twisting motion. Make sure column reaches the cake board. |
|
7. Shorten columns if necessary.
If smooth pieces of columns are visible when inserted into the cake, columns should be shortened
by cutting along marked smooth piece. |
|
8. Slide collars onto columns over ribbed piece. If desired, fill columns with icing, starting at ribbed end. |
|
9. Insert ribbed ends of columns into plate with a firm twist,
making sure the columns are secured in the plate.
Columns can be slightly adjusted side to side for proper alignment. |
|
10. Insert plate with columns into
holes on cake surface. |
