Title: Nasi Kunyit (Malaysian) Categories: Rice, Malaysian, Dkuhnen msn Yield: 6 Servings 1 lb Pulot (glutinous rice) 2 c Water 2 t Salt 1 cl Garlic, crushed 1 t Turmeric, ground 1/2 t Black pepper, ground 1 Daun pandan 2 c Hot coconut milk Crisp fried onion flakes Wash rice and drain. Put into a saucepan with water, salt, garlic, turmeric, pepper and pandanus leaf for flavouring. Bring to the boil, reduce heat, cover tightly and steam for 10 mins. Uncover, add the coconut milk (hot), and with a long-pronged fork, stir gently so tha the rice mixes with the coconut milk. Cover and cook for a further 10 mins. Serve garnished with the fried onion.
