Graham Apple Coffee Cake

Makes 9 servings

  • 1 cup HONEY MAID Graham Cracker Crumbs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped apple
  • Crumb Topping (recipe below)

In large bowl, combine HONEY MAID Graham Cracker Crumbs, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Add margarine and milk, with electric mixer at medium speed, beat 2 minutes. Add eggs; beat 2 minutes more. Spread batter in greased 9-inch square pan, sprinkle chopped apple over top. Sprinkle Crumb Topping (recipe below) evenly over apples. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes. Serve warm or cold.

Crumb Topping:
Combine

  • 1/4 cup melted margarine
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped PLANTERS Walnuts
  • 1/2 cup HONEY MAID Graham Cracker Crumbs.
